When Sport and Exercise Medicine applications run, and what the round looks like.

Entrance Examination, first sitting of the year. 7 March in 2026.
The Entrance Examination is held remotely in 2026, which covers both sittings.
Selection runs once a year from about July to October, and each cycle publishes its own dates.
Foundation requirement: equivalent of 3 years general medical and surgical postgraduate training before starting ACSEP advanced training. Most applicants are PGY3+.

Held twice a year and sat remotely in 2026. A pass is valid for 10 calendar years, so one sitting can cover several application rounds.

There are seven scored curriculum vitae categories, an examination pass stays valid 10 years, and accepting an interview confirms willingness to train at an available practice.
