When Sexual Health Medicine applications run, and what the round looks like.

Prospective approval has two annual deadlines: 28 February (first-half or full calendar-year training) and 31 August (second-half training).
Late applications accepted up to one month after the deadline; a late fee may apply, but not if supervisor approval was still pending at the deadline.

Sexual health medicine intersects with public health, infectious diseases, and primary care — demonstrating interest across these domains is valued.
Fellows of RANZCOG, RANZCP, RACGP, or ACRRM can enter directly without repeating RACP Basic Training — check the existing-Fellow pathway if you hold one of these.
Referee reports are optional on the entry form rather than required, which is unusual. What is required is a detailed curriculum vitae, a certified copy of your medical registration and certified copies of your fellowship documentation.

The qualification was recorded as FRACP (Sexual Health Medicine) and is FAChSHM. This is a Chapter program, and the route-dependent FRACP rule applies to Palliative Medicine alone. Entry also now records the comparability assessment overseas trained doctors need, and that referee reports are optional.
