The RACP registration deadlines (28 February / 31 August) are for annual re-registration within training, not the initial application.
There is no centrally published PGY floor, because Basic Training selection is run by hospital networks rather than by the college. PGY2 to PGY4 is typical.

Compulsory for every trainee. It is also how one Advanced Training outcome is judged, so it carries weight twice here.

3 years, the same as either single pathway
A published pathway of its own rather than two programs run together. 24 months of core respiratory medicine and 12 months of core sleep medicine, in place of the 12 months of non-core either single pathway would take. It is the only route to the post-nominal with no qualifier after it.
Named in the sleep curriculum as a subspecialty a sleep trainee may wish to take up, alongside respiratory medicine, and as training that may meet the sleep requirements more quickly than other backgrounds. Named only. No combined duration or requirement is published for it, unlike the respiratory and sleep pathway above.
