The RACP registration deadlines (28 February / 31 August) are for annual re-registration within training, not the initial application.
There is no centrally published PGY floor, because Basic Training selection is run by hospital networks rather than by the college. PGY2 to PGY4 is typical.

Community paediatrics and complex disability experience is underrepresented in most CVs — it differentiates applicants to programs with community and developmental paediatrics training.
Queensland Health is the only state department publishing these figures so far.

New curriculum introduced for Basic Paediatric Training from 2025. Trainees commencing BPT from 2025 follow the new curriculum. Trainees who started in 2024 or earlier complete the previous PREP program.
